Important Information about your 2024 T4A Slips

Oct 27, 2026
An overview of your 2024 tax slips and what to do if the CRA contacts you.

As a result of the launch of our new administration system in June 2024, many members received two T4As: One for the first half of 2024 and another for the second half. While the two T4As look very similar, as they both cover a six-month period, they are not duplicates.

In addition, if you collected both pension and disability benefits in 2024, you may have received up to four T4As.

Was there an error with my T4A?

In early 2025, an issue was identified where amounts appeared in the wrong box on some 2024 T4A slips. Once the issue was discovered, the incorrect T4A slips were withdrawn from CRA and corrected slips were then submitted to CRA.

CRA currently has all the correct T4As in their system.

What should I do if CRA contacts me?

  • Review the information provided by CRA.
  • Compare it to the T4A slips you received for 2024.
  • Follow any instructions provided by CRA regarding your tax return or supporting documentation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
